THREE DAY WEEKEND INTENSIVE

Are you passionate about health and fitness? Do you LOVE the Core Fire Conditioning classes at Rhode Island Hot Yoga? Here's your opportunity to practice with the best and learn how to lead a class yourself! In this 3-day weekend intensive, we will give you all the tools that you need to lead our signature Core Fire Conditioning class.

Core Fire Conditioning is a high energy, low impact class designed to build physical strength and cardiovascular stamina. Class is done in a heated room (~ 95 degrees) and uses a mix of high intensity interval training (HIIT) and traditional exercises. This upbeat class is set to music and is appropriate for all bodies and abilities. The format was developed by our lead trainer Steph Barta, who runs the training with support from our instructors Gianna Auger and Stacy Epstein.

We are excited to announce that we will be awarding two Diversity & Equity Scholarships for our 2023 program! Our objective is to expand our community and ensure that all people feel welcome and included in our classes.

This training is appropriate for anyone interested in leading classes at Rhode Island Hot Yoga, as well as anyone who would like to take a deep dive into this class and enhance their personal knowledge. The curriculum includes modules on class structure, common exercises, timing, music selection, class philosophy, and professional ethics. Our trainees will receive interactive, hands-on teaching practice throughout the course.

Prior experience / certification in other fitness modalities is helpful but not required.

2023 TRAINING SCHEDULE

DATES & TIMES

Friday July 21st, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday July 22nd, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday July 23rd, 8:00am - 5:00pm

DAILY SCHEDULE

Each day includes a 60-minute heated class and a 1 hour lunch break. The course provides a total of 21 in-person training hours.

All training sessions will be held at our Providence location at 166 Valley St.


TRAINING COST

TOTAL INVESTMENT: $650 due by July 7th | $150 deposit required to secure your spot

WHAT'S INCLUDED: Your training fee covers all in-person training hours, daily 1-hour classes during the training weekend, our Core Fire Conditioning class manual, a pre-programmed HIIT timer, additional reading material, and 2 feedback sessions on live classes following the completion of the program. 

TRAINING APPLICATION: Acceptance to this program is by application only. If you identify as BIPOC and are interested in teaching in a studio environment after graduation, we invite you to apply for our Diversity & Equity Scholarship.

All trainees, please review our attendance, payment & graduation policies before applying. Once your application has been approved, we will contact you to receive your deposit. Please note that completion of this training does not guarantee employment at Rhode Island Hot Yoga or any other business.

TRAINING PREREQUISITES: We recommend a minimum of 6 months' weekly attendance at our CFC classes or a minimum of 50 classes total prior to the start of our program. Other fitness / yoga training is helpful but not required!

All applications are due by July 7th, 2023.
